As a Senior User Interaction Designer, you will:

· Define, plan, execute, and make use of research, with the assistance of our top-notch user research team.

· Create personas, user journeys, and stories to better understand your end user and communicate that understanding to your product team.

· Understand both the strategic and tactical aspects of user experience design and be able to operate at both levels.

· Understand business goals and user goals, using both to define your design goals.

· Independently craft excellent user experiences, translating these experiences into wire frames.

· Work on multiple products and product lines.

· Review these designs with the design team and your product team to ensure they are desirable, saleable, usable, and implementable. You are able to explain your decisions cogently and accept feedback gracefully.

· Mentor and direct the efforts of other team members.

· Track your designs through implementation to ensure final integrity of the product.

· Continually seek to enhance and improve your design knowledge.

EQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· Degree with 4+ years or 8+ years experience in a related field

· Design portfolio showing your interaction design work for product or web-applications, highlighting strategic design work

· Excellent teamwork and communication skills

· A sense of humor. Puns will be considered in a pinch.

· Exceptional tactical and strategic problem solving skills – both analytical and creative

· A demonstrated understanding of what it means to solve problems using software

· A demonstrated understanding of how to set and achieve long term goals (be prepared to provide examples)

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES

· Experience working in an Agile development environment

· Mobile design experience

· Willingness to participate in discussions about zombies or pirates. Or pirate zombies.

· Experience using Sketch, InVision, and Axure

· Ability to juggle physically and/or metaphorically
