The aim of the role:

This role will ensure smooth running of VICT Landside Operations. You will work collaboratively within a high performing team to assist in the management of our Vehicle Booking System (VBS) and you will play a critical role in coordinating Landside operations with a particular focus on Biosecurity activities. Your work will directly contribute to and ensure that VICT continues to provide the highest possible standard of service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate road operations for VICT
Provide a point of contact for all VBS and Transport Enquiries
First point of contact for Biosecurity queries at the terminal
Conduct inspections on Biosecurity containers
Record & report on Biosecurity Activities & Risks
Coordinate Biosecurity treatments required in line with AQIS directions

Key Performance Indicators:

Maintain Truck Turn Time under 35 mins
Tel/email enquiries responded to in a timely manner
Slots availability prescribed based on forecasted demands
Strict application and adherence to HSE requirements as stipulated by Safe
Operating Policies & Procedures and HSE legislation
Comply with and execute all requests issued by Landside Manager
Log and provide prompt notification to the Landside Manager in the event of terminal delays, transport delays, equipment failure and software failure
Timely communication with transport community for any issues affecting terminal operations

Qualifications:

Background in Logistics preferred

Previous experience with Biosecurity matters highly regarded

Skills and Competencies:

Ability to work in and outside of office environment including outdoors in different types of weather
Effective oral and written communication skills, including report writing
Analytical with attention to detail
Ability to provide leadership, obtain cooperation and/or support from other team members and clients to meet objectives
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to effectively analyse performance data
Utilise standard industry computer packages such as the Microsoft suite.
Knowledge and experience in terminal, vessel, yard planning, transport and control systems (e.g. Navis SN4 including Automation Systems, Yard Planning, Vessel Planning and Equipment Control System. 1-Stop)
