As we launch our new three year strategy, we are looking for a Sales Director to lead this next path of growth.
Purpose of role:
The Sales Director ANZ will lead the sales team to deliver sales and profitability for the ANZ business through go-to-market strategy and execution, elevating relationships with trade partners, developing and executing the channel strategy and portfolio.
Responsibilities include:
- Operationalize the ANZ vision and direction for each channel and determine the strategic plan to achieve this. Determine areas of strategic opportunity and focus. Put in place the capability needed and drive the execution.
- Develop and implement the channel strategy for Pharmacy, Grocery, Health Food Stores, eCommerce and Practitioner to achieve commercial growth ahead of market and extend share leadership.
- Lead and deliver on the Field Sales and Education strategy.
- Set objectives and track channel performance in terms of sales growth and market share, including preparing and managing the sales budget and forecast, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of sales performance.
- P&L ownership: set and monitor budget objectives (profitability, structure of P&L, trading terms, expenses, promotional spend, etc).
- Build Blackmores image and reputation with key customers and stakeholders, through strong relationships and strategic partnerships.
- Lead negotiation with key retail partners for Joint Business Plans, contracts and new business models and brand launches.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to enhance their capabilities, engagement and performance.
- Recruit, develop and manage teams, ensuring knowledge transfer and change management.
- Provide vision and mission for the sales team's long-term direction and targets.
- Leadership of the sales function through demonstrating Blackmores Leadership Success Factors.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the sales team.
- Provide effective and constructive change leadership.
- Ensure the sales organisation is equipped with the necessary tools, resources, and training to succeed.
Who are you?
- Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, preferably within FMCG/Pharmaceuticals.
- Strong understanding of priority sales channels (Pharmacy, Grocery, eCommerce, Health) and Field Sales.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal capabilities.
- Track record of developing teams and people.
- Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed decisions.
- Strong financial acumen and experience in budget and forecast management.
- Demonstrated ability to drive commercial growth and achieve market share growth.
