About the role
The Senior Manager Communications Media and Digital plays a pivotal role in shaping and leading the TAC’s strategic approach to internal and external corporate communications including media relations, brand management and digital marketing and communications - actively managing the diverse communications functions and needs of the organisation and enhancing the organisation’s reputation within the wider Victorian community.
With a focus on strategic leadership, the Senior Manager collaborates with senior stakeholders and partners to deliver aligned, consistent and impactful communication strategies that influence changing audience behaviour and client experiences.
Actively supporting the Executive Leadership Team and senior leaders within the organisation and their respective divisions, the position ensures high quality operational communications support, and integrated communications planning and execution in support of the various corporate initiatives that serve to achieve the TAC’s strategic goals.
About the Team
Leading the Communications, Media & Digital branch within the Community division, and with four direct reports, the position oversees a broader team of dedicated communications professionals, all highly skilled in their roles and committed to delivering fit-for-purpose, high-impact outputs in their operational responsibilities.
The Senior Manager will work closely with the Executive General Manager Community and a close-knit senior leadership team that values mutual support and collaboration. Together, they empower their teams to engage, educate, and influence the Victorian community, stakeholders, and staff, ensuring the TAC fosters a safety-first road culture and enables the delivery of the best outcomes for clients.
What we’re looking for
Strategic Communications Expertise
Extensive experience in developing and executing strategic communication initiatives that align with organisational goals. You will be skilled in using advanced persuasion, negotiation, and communication techniques to resolve complex issues and engage and influence diverse audiences.
Senior Leadership and Team Development Skills
Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing, multi-functional teams. You will effectively combine your leadership expertise with subject matter knowledge to inspire, guide and grow a supportive, collaborative team culture.
Operational and Strategic Execution
You will be skilled in leading fast-paced, high-activity teams through various interconnected initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery of operational requirements while aligning with organisational strategic objectives to drive long-term success.
