About the role:
The primary purpose of the Workplace Experience Specialist at Tyro is to be the friendly, welcoming face of Tyro for all team members, customers, guests and other external visitors.
The Workplace Experience Team (WE) at Tyro is responsible for helping to design, create and execute valuable employee experiences at Tyro, where we put our people at the centre of the workplace, create seamless service experiences throughout our office, and ensure the day-to-day management of the office.
This role aims to facilitate employee engagement, accelerates workplace energy, and create an environment that increases productivity and boosts employee fun and wellbeing.
The Workplace Experience Specialist considers the physical environment that our people work in and ensure that it is pleasant, clean and well-stocked, ensures that our people have the necessary tools and technologies to enable their productivity, and is constantly seeking new solutions that enable our employees to achieve their best at work.
What you'll do:
Reception Duty:
- Manages all reception activities – welcoming staff and guests, collecting deliveries & mail, answering calls, and directing inquiries to the right person.
- Ensure that reception is operational during standard working hours.
Office Management:
- Maintaining kitchen supplies and vending machines twice a week.
- Maintain office supplies ad hoc.
- Perform weekly maintenance on all coffee equipment.
- Stock up wine fridge for weekly Friday night drinks and monthly Mindshare.
- Coordinating repairs and liaising with vendors.
- Manage and maintaining meeting rooms weekly.
- Work closely with the Head of Workplace Experience on all workplace management matters including implementing agreed policies and procedures.
- Identify Workplace Health & Safety hazards within the office.
- Assist with other Workplace Health & Safety duties as required.
- Manage the Big Screen and other general TV with content weekly.
Administration:
- Management of the WE mailbox, slack channel and JIRA tickets.
- Budget management of office costs, monthly reporting of key items to the Head of Workplace Experience.
- Organise business cards as needed.
- Organise couriers as needed.
- Organise Tyro’s weekly shopping list.
- Expense reconciliation of WE expenses monthly.
- Manage activities associated with the maintenance of building facilities and equipment.
- Manage visitors and escalate issues as required to ensure the physical security of the Tyro office.
Event Management:
- Helping with events and celebrations, e.g. Blitz hackathon, weekly drinks, wellness initiatives.
- Managing team catering requests as needed.
Onboarding/Offboarding:
- Conduct new starter office tours.
- Organise building access cards for new starters.
- Maintain building access card sheet for new starters and leavers.
- Maintain Brivo online card system for new starters and leavers.
- Complete all offboarding adobe documents and escalate to People Partners if process is not being followed.
