About the Role
As a Business Analyst, LSM Delivery Retail Risk
Infrastructure in our Team, you will be responsible for
solution design & configuration, business architecture,
and/or business analysis of decision solutions, and be
responsible to deliver and sustain Retail and Commercial Risk IT
services aligned to Originations Decisioning, Portfolio
Management, Collections Decisioning, Data Provisioning,
Architecture & Design, Systems Controls services; including
but not limited to Operating Model enforcement/improvement,
interface mapping documentations, Bureau data investigations and
corrections, end-to-end Release Train co-ordination,
Co-ordination of all regular business attestations, Annual
reviews, Remediation of audit items, 1st line assurance and
fulfilling ad-hoc requests from senior management.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
• Displaying Thought Leadership with respect to the
design and/or development of Retail Risk policy and strategies
that are geared towards supporting revenue uplift, improvement in
operational effectiveness and cost out for the bank, as well as
supporting the strategic direction, design, and effective use of
risk infrastructure across the customer life cycle.
• Support the Group’s Strategic customer objectives by
maintaining stability of Australia Risk Infrastructure platforms
and services
• Deliver more simplified, scaled, progressive data and
technology infrastructure to help improve the financial wellbeing
of our customers (including Responsible Lending and Privacy
standards).
• Participate in the co-ordination of all Change Management
applicable to systems implementation across all Risk Platforms in
Scope (e.g. BVT, Training, Ops resourcing to support Delivery
Release trains etc), including preparation and circulation of all
release communication, outage notifications (planned and
unplanned), for all Risk Infrastructure services.
• Supporting Stream Leads with the development of team
members and uplift capability across team in order to enable
delivery of current and future elements of long-term strategy.
• Build collaborative relationships with Australia and
Global colleagues to enable objectives to be achieved and
learnings shared.
• Contribute to Non-Financial Risk framework. Know your
risks, know your controls, manage your COR events (ensuring
information in COR is accurate, up-to-date, easy to understand,
and action oriented). Support Audits and deliver on all
audit-related commitments.
• Support regulatory engagements, including those of a BAU
nature, with relevant insights and updates on key topics and
commitments made. Ensure Australia Risk Infrastructure
solutions/assets comply with security policies and global
regulatory requirements, and meet appropriate risk appetites.
• Identify trends, risks, issues, and opportunities; resolve
them and/or report escalate to senior management as required
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally
bring the following:
• Strong analytical, numerical, research and
problem-solving proven ability to delivery Business and
Technology solutions.
• Proven technical capabilities and experience with data
analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools
(e.g., SAS, PowerCurve, Ab Initio, etc.) to play a bridging role
between Business and Technology.
• Functional Understanding – It would be a great advantage
to have functional understanding for securities usage and
existing data footprint in CRDH.
• Proven experience in risk management and/or technology,
with exposure to credit and/or data lifecycle.
• Skilled at the use of facts in discussions and
communication with staff and peers.
• Proven ability to communicate up (one level above) and
amongst peer groups.
• Well-developed written and oral skills with ~30% of role
behavioural, stakeholder engagement evident, 70% of the role
technical (having already exhibited experience in previous
technical roles via individual’s career path).
