As a Data Analyst in our Risk Transformation program, you’ll play a key role in helping to advance the risk data IT environment through your work on the Commercial Property Portfolio Monitoring project. This role is responsible for activities such as collecting, cleansing, optimizing & interrogating data to further the Risk Data Hub (RDH), on the Google Cloud Platform.

Role Type: 12 month opportunity
As a Data Analyst, you will:
- Work with business analysts and key stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements and translate these into development requirements.
- Lead, optimise, design and execute the data product to uplift business productivity.
- Leverage strong data technical skills (primarily SQL in GCP BigQuery, Teradata or SQL Server) to code complex scripts to support business solution engagement including triage, analysis and troubleshooting of technical incidents.
- As required contribute to activities to generate insights around data quality.
The ‘Must have’ Knowledge, Skill and Experience:
- Strong ability to query, process and analyse large data sets in database technologies using SQL.
- Strong ability to test and document data solutions in accordance with business requirements and solution design.
- Strong ability to understand and learn more of ANZ systems for Wholesale lending customers (account exposure, ratings, collateral, valuations, customer hierarchy)
- Analytical and inquisitive mindset to continuously improve on data insights supporting practical business recommendations relating to business solution function.
- Ability to effectively communicate and present to all stakeholders (technical and non-technical).
The ‘good to have’ knowledge, skill and experience:
- ANZ product, process and data domain knowledge (e.g., including but not limited to commercial and wholesale lendings, risk).
- Ability to perform statistical analysis.
- Coaching & mentoring skills.
- Data visualisation skills.
