About the Role
As a Data Analytics in our LSM Delivery Retail Risk Team, you’ll
play a key role in helping to Second line oversight function
focused on the early identification of portfolio and customer
stress, supporting business growth opportunities and customer
contact strategies across Retail and Commercial Divisions with a
focus on:

customer deep dive and predictive analytics and
-
the development of portfolio and customer management limit
and growth strategies.

What will your day look like?
This role is accountable for:
-
Working in conjunction with group and divisional risk teams
and wider business teams to monitor and understand strategy
impacts on credit risk profiles.
-
Provide strategic input into the risk data and analytics
environment, embedding data governance requirements and managing
day-to-day data integrity issues where required.
-
Continue to support the development of best practice
Portfolio Monitoring & Management within the bank, working
with and supporting stakeholders and leveraging new and existing
data and analytics capabilities and driving simplification and
de-duplication where possible.

Produce information analysis and recommendations to
highlight risks and opportunities.
-
Provide support to team members to meet the demands for
Portfolio Risk Managements responsibilities.

Support the development of positive Net Income returns from
supporting x-sell activities where required.

Timely identification of credit risk (capital, provision)
and performance measurement metric impacts.
-
Demonstrate understanding of relevant regulatory
requirements and execution of ongoing activities in line with
requirements.
-
Development, execution and monitoring of frameworks and
strategies to meet relevant regulatory requirements and second
line credit risk responsibilities.
-
Support the development of customer level view strategies
and processes, using data and risk systems for purposes of
lending responsibly, customer credit risk insights (stress and
opportunities).
What will you bring?
To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally
bring the following:
• Strong analytical, numerical, research and
problem-solving proven ability to turn data into information and
information into actionable business decision strategy.
• Proven technical capabilities and experience with data
analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools
(e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, AbInitio, etc.).
• Proven ability to design, enhance and work with reporting
sources.
• Strone experience in risk management, managed strategies for
both retail and commercial products (3+ products).
• Skilled at the use of facts in discussions and communication
with staff and peers.
• Ability to create strong links with P&L and the
operational business areas.
• Proven ability to build financial models and use of
predictive analytics.
• Strong ability to communicate up (one level above) and
amongst peer groups.
• Solid people and project management skills - with the
ability to motivate and manage one or more analyst(s).
• Well-developed written and oral skills with ~60% of role
behavioural, stakeholder engagement evident, executive presence a
strength, 40% of the role technical (having already exhibited
experience in previous technical roles via individual’s career
path).
