ANZ's Return to Work Program is designed for people who have taken a career break or have been significantly underemployed and are seeking support to transition back into the workforce.

To be eligible for the Program you will have taken a career break (two or more years) or have been significantly underemployed.

We understand the importance of balancing work, family, and other commitments. Planning, cooperation, and support are essential. Assess the resources you currently have and identify what additional support you may need.

What will your day look like?

Design, build and support technical assets and solutions that enrich our customers online digital banking experience.
Engineer through the full lifecycle of business-critical applications as part of a team
Solve complex challenges with your team leveraging comms channels such as Slack, GitHub and in person collaboration.
Contribute to our internal engineering community through code, showcases, and communities of practice
Be part of our engineering guilds and communities such as #women-in-tech #anzplus-learning #anzplus-brown-bags #ai-interest-group #anzplus-hackathon
Drive technical excellence, implement best practices, improve standards, and optimise processes
Researching and implement new technologies. Have an idea on how to improve? Let’s hear it!

What will you bring?

Technical Expertise: Proficient in a backend programming language such as Go, Java, C#, Node.js, or Python, with understanding of software architecture principles, and a willingness to adopt Go as a primary language.
Modern Development Practices:  Experience with End-to-End development practices such as CI/CD, using tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, Github etc.
Cloud Development: Knowledge of cloud-based development using GCP, AWS, or Azure.
Analytical: Ability to break down complex technical challenges into clear, actionable strategies and plans.
Communication Skills:  You’re good at explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can work with a diverse group of people
Experience: We're open on the type of company you've had engineering experience in. We'll consider start-up through to global. What's important is what you've learnt along the way
