The Opportunity
The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and business growth in a highly competitive early education sector. This role will oversee traditional marketing, digital marketing, and the contact centre to ensure an integrated and data-driven approach to customer engagement, lead generation, and conversion.
The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with expertise in performance marketing, customer value proposition (CVP) development, and brand positioning. They will play a critical role in shaping the company’s future branding, ensuring consistency and impact across all marketing channels while leveraging data and insights to optimise marketing investments and drive measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a data-driven marketing strategy to enhance lead generation, conversion, and customer retention.
- Drive a high-performance culture within the marketing, digital, and contact centre teams to meet commercial targets.
- Align marketing initiatives with business objectives to support growth, expansion, and revenue targets.
- Oversee the performance marketing strategy, ensuring data and insights drive customer acquisition and engagement.
- Leverage digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, paid media, email marketing, and social media, to optimise lead generation and conversion.
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, including print, events, sponsorships, and community engagement.
- Build brand awareness through strategic partnerships, thought leadership, and PR initiatives.
- Ensure brand consistency across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Oversee the development of marketing materials, content, and collateral that align with the company’s mission and values.
- Lead the contact centre team to ensure high-quality customer interactions and maximise enrolment conversions.
- Implement strategies to improve call centre effectiveness, including data-driven customer insights, scripting improvements, and automation.
- Develop a strong data-driven approach to marketing decision-making, ensuring insights and analytics inform strategies and performance improvements.
- Work closely with the data analytics team to enhance customer segmentation, targeting, and personalisation.
- Monitor key KPIs, including lead conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, brand sentiment, and customer lifetime value.
About You
- Tertiary degree or higher in Marketing, Communications and/or Business
- 10+ years of experience in marketing leadership roles, ideally in multi-site, service-based industries such as education, retail, healthcare, or hospitality.
- Proven experience leading traditional and digital marketing teams, as well as customer engagement or contact centre operations.
- Strong background in performance marketing, digital advertising, and customer acquisition strategies.
- Experience in brand development, repositioning, and execution of branding campaigns.
- Expertise in leveraging data analytics, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools to drive results.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to navigate complex organisations and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
