About the role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist - Application Support to plan, lead, develop, integrate and evaluate our Defence clients GCCS (Global Command and Control System) capability. This will require communicating and engaging with stakeholders to deliver specific technical aspects in a timely manner utilising your extensive subject matter knowledge and skills.
Please note, we can only consider candidates with a high level AGSVA Security Clearance. The location of the role is located in Garden Island in Sydney.
About you
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- As directed by the Commonwealth, plan and deliver very complex technical activities and solutions in a complex and high pressure environment.
- Communicate and engage with stakeholders to deliver integrated and holistic solutions in multifaceted problem domains.
- Evaluate and ensure the delivered capability meets Defence requirements within policy, legislative and regulatory frameworks.
- Have an understanding of security and safety requirements within a Defence environment.
- Analyze data flows and requirements, write reports, manage workflows, resources, and assets to achieve business outcomes.
- Mentor and motivate the technical support team to deliver results.
Requirements:
- Experience working with a Global Command and Control Systems in:
- Maritime Force level. This could be a UNIX based systems and/or Martime Group Level Windows based systems.
- Integrated C4 System Framework (ICSF)
- Agile client systems.
- Experience in Tactical Data Link Networks, including but not limited to Joint Range Extension (JRE) Systems using:
- J-Series messages
- Satellite Tactical Data Link
- Joint Range Extension Application Protocol
- Experience in Information Communications Technologies (ICT), including but not limited to:
- Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol
- Network or server management experience in a Windows environment.
- Network or server management experience in a UNIX/Linux environment
- Network Design experience.
- Remote desktop protocol tools in secure UNIX and Windows environments
- Unified Communication (UC) systems in a secure Windows environment.
- Satellite and Communication Systems, including but not limited to:
- High frequency (HF)/ very high frequency (VHF)/ ultra-high frequency (UHF).
- Military Radios
- Cryptographic equipment
