Job Description
Join Nine Publishing as the Digital Performance Lead, where you will play a pivotal role in driving the digital performance strategy across our renowned mastheads, including the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and the Financial Review.
As a strategic, data-focused, and detail-oriented professional, you will oversee high-impact digital performance campaigns aimed at growing subscription revenue, enhancing engagement, and strengthening brand affinity.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Develop the digital roadmap and lead quarterly planning activities
- Create and implement audience strategies that align with brand and commercial objectives.
- Oversee and support the Digital Performance team in the delivery and end-to-end management of digital performance campaigns, including audience definition, strategy, investment, KPIs, and optimisation.
- Lead the communication of performance reports, identifying areas of opportunity, risks, and overall performance against strategic objectives.
- Manage the overall digital budget
- Cultivate relationships with key platform partners
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with marketing leads and internal teams
- Develop and deliver a data-driven experimentation roadmap to test and optimise digital strategies.
- Oversee the operational setup of Nine Publishing’s digital channels, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting
- Lead a high-performing team of two direct reports
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a full-funnel digital marketing role.
- Proven experience developing and executing digital marketing strategies
- Strong understanding of the digital customer journey, including performance metrics, channels, and audience building.
- Excellent knowledge of online marketing tools and best practices, particularly GA4, Google Tag Manager, and DMP setup.
- Familiarity with key platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, X, SA360, DV360, YouTube, BVOD, Spotify, Listnr, and CM360.
- Highly analytical with a data-driven mindset, able to derive actionable insights from data.
- Ability to clearly articulate digital strategies and performance to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills,
- Experience with CRM and marketing automation is desirable, but not mandatory.
- Proven experience managing a high-performing team.
