As one of only a few national law firms with a head office in Brisbane, a rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced marketing professional to work closely and directly with a newly appointed Head of Marketing (HOM) to drive marketing and communications projects and initiatives.
We are seeking a Senior Advisor level marketing professional with a passion for content creation, a proactive approach and a curiosity for what entices clients to choose MCW.
Working within a growing marketing and business development team (currently five professionals), this role will use a broad spectrum of marketing skills – including brand, communications, graphic design and digital marketing.

Key Responsibilities
This role offers both autonomy and the ability to work closely with the HOM to support and drive national projects that create value across the firm.
This role involves:
- Assisting with the development and execution of a firm-wide communication plan.
- Draft and edit internal and external communications to the firms key stakeholders to ensure key messages are represented
- Conceptualising, developing, implementing and measuring marketing campaigns.
- Monitoring, reviewing and reporting on ROI for marketing activity.
- Reviewing, editing and promoting email communications relevant to the firm’s key stakeholder groups.
- Developing and/or managing the production of graphic designed materials - advertising, merchandise and promotional collateral.
- Applying and enforcing marketing policies and procedures – including around communications, social media usage and brand integrity.
- Managing the production of branded collateral – including advertising, brochures, banners and posters.
- Assisting with media relations, including drafting media releases on behalf of the firm.
- Assisting with the creation of monthly executive reporting on marketing ROI.
- Assisting with the management of the website – including ensuring content is up to date and accurate.
- Assisting with management of social media channels, including working with a digital agency to create marketing campaigns and digital advertising.
- Working with our events coordinator to manage high profile firm events.
- Managing the industry and general business award and directory submissions.
Experience
We are seeking someone with demonstrable experience in a similar role within the legal industry or a comparable professional services environment.
Attractive candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or Public Relations.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience marketing to both B2B (corporate) and B2C (private) clients.
- Experience creating and managing content and campaigns relevant to different. stakeholders.
- A ‘creative eye’ and very high attention to detail.
- Experience with email marketing systems, processes and strategies.
- Experience managing large events and sponsorships.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Desirable technical experience:
- CRM and ERM systems – particularly HubSpot or Client Sense
- Experience reviewing BI data
- Email marketing and automation systems (particularly Active Campaign)
- Graphic Design programs - InDesign, Canva, Photoshop, illustrator or Premier Pro
- Digital marketing – WordPress, SEO, GA (advantageous but not essential)
- Management of communication channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Vimeo).
- Experience with online event management systems.Advanced skills in the Microsoft Suite are an expectation (MS Word, PPT, Excel)
