The Marketing and Social Media Volunteer will support the valuable work of The Salvation Army Street Teams in Tasmania to promote volunteer opportunities, engage with the community and help attract new volunteers. Ideal for skilled volunteers, retirees and students looking to give back, learn new skills and meet new people.
Support the Salvos Street Team in their valuable work, focussing on keeping young people safe in our night precincts in Launceston & Hobart.
You can volunteer in Launceston or Hobart for this role.
Key responsibilities
- Under the direction of the Street Team Coordinator, you will be responsible for visually communicating information, ideas, and messages through various forms of visual design, including flyers, publications, posters, social media and other printed or digital materials.
- Bring your attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity to ensure that compliance and confidentiality is always adhered to.
Qualifications and skills
- Proficiency in MS Suite is essential.
- Confident with online systems and software, as well as using printers (specific on the job training will be provided)
- A strong eye for detail and experience in creating and or designing media, publications or graphics is highly regarded.
- A basic understanding of brand and marketing principles is desirable.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
