Job Description Summary :
This is an exciting hybrid role where you will work within the Brisbane agency team, and well as the specialist Social and Content team on key accounts. You will work closely with leadership to deliver the best quality work across client program development, implementation and reporting, meeting and exceeding campaign KPIs and making a positive contribution to identifying and securing new business for the agency.
The Senior Social Media & Content Manager applies knowledge and skills to demonstrate autonomy, well-development judgement, adaptability and responsibility to manager client activities and the junior team that implements them.
You will be responsible for producing different kinds of social media marketing content, monitoring its success, producing monthly reporting and implementing insights and learnings into ongoing content development. The role will provide you the opportunity to work across a variety of local and national brands and creative, integrated briefs across the agency.
As a Senior Social Media & Content Manager you will have end to end responsibility of all Brisbane social clients, while working closely with the National social and content team for production assistance as required, for larger shoot days ormore complex editing requirements. You will require strong project management skills in order to build and maintain client relationships, manage workflow, drive creative outputs, meet deadlines, deliver and exceed set KPIs, while helping to upskill junior members of staff.
You will be tasked with preparing and executing (or overseeing the development of) content calendars for our clients’ social media channels involving writing, production and editing, preparing creative briefs, applying paid approaches, as well as identifying and sourcing influencers. You’ll need to have excellent face to face communications skills and feel comfortable operating with a large degree of autonomy to ensure work is delivered to a high quality standard. The ideal candidate will be used to working autonomously to produce content quickly to maximise opportunities that pop up in the social zeitgeist.
You will also manage the promotion of content through paid means including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok.
This position will work closely with the Brisbane Managing Partner, Executive Director of Social and Content, and the Client Services Director in Brisbane to drive excellence in social and content and optimal client health –and requires accountability for personal and team outputs and outcomes.

Areas of Responsibility
Tasks include:
Content Creation
- Creation of content ideas
- Creation and planning content schedules
- Source content and write copy as required
- Maintain editorial content on specified projects, ensuring a suitable level of quality and frequency
- Publish content through various channels such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LInkedIn
- Participate in creative brief processes
- Brief and supervise 3rd party suppliers such as seeding agencies, content providers, influencers, media agencies and production agencies
Social Strategy and Community Management
- Liaise between the online community on behalf of our clients (although daily community management is likely to be handled by the Client or a junior member of staff)
- Build and maintain a relationship with influencers and content creators
- Online marketing through social networking channels – particularly creating, scheduling and optimising Facebook ads
- Agile optimisation of content schedules to ensure learnings are fed back into their ongoing development and maximum value to both client and community is achieved
- Maintain activity reports and monitor campaign effectiveness – using buzz monitoring tools, Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, Meltwater and similar tools
- Recognise and analyse issues or opportunities for our clients in social media – and react to them in collaboration with the team
Relationship Building
- Liaise directly with clients building strong client relationships
- Ensure a high level of client service
- Build and nurture relationships with other areas of the business and offices so as work collaboratively to deliver the very best results
Innovation
- Remain current on the evolving social media landscape – and be proactive in sharing news and insights with the team
- Proactively monitor the social media landscape to identify trending topics or opportunities for clients to leverage
Budgeting and Financial Management
- Manage and coordinate assigned junior account teams ensuring effective and efficient deployment of resources, and high quality work that meets clients’ objectives in a manner that provides value for money and account profitability, flagging any issues with senior managers
- Ensure timesheets are completed accurately and in detail each day
- Manage allocated budgets with no over-runs without prior client approval, including following all Havas Red and client financial processes including raising project estimates
People Management
- Assist senior managers with training and development of junior staff
- Have a strong understanding of the KPIs for self and junior staff
- Assist senior managers to help staff deliver on their KPIs
- Provide senior managers with feedback on team members you work with both informally and during 360 degree performance reviews
- Develop direct reports through on-the-job mentoring and effective implementation of Havas Reds performance review program including monthly catch-ups to review progress against KPIs
- Develop mentees through coaching and advice
New Business
- Support senior managers on new business pitches, tenders and proposals including research, brainstorming, drafting case studies, developing creative concepts and social media campaigns
- Present confidently at pitch meetings and tissue sessions as required
- Proactively recommend additional projects to existing clients
- Maintain and grow a network on LinkedIn
- Attend industry and relevant client events
- Use networks and networking opportunities to uncover new business opportunities and bring them to the attention of senior managers
