Job Description
As a Senior Python Developer you will design, develop, and maintain Python applications. You will write efficient, reusable, and testable code and Implement performance and quality modules. You will Integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
You will also manage and maintain AWS cloud environments, utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, SQS, and CloudWatch. On a regular basis you will monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine maintenance tasks. You will Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform.
You will design and manage both SQL and NoSQL databases. Optimise database performance and ensure data integrity along with implementing data storage solutions for various applications and systems. You will automate repetitive tasks to streamline processes. Develop and maintain custom scripts for automating administrative tasks and utilize Python and AWS SDKs to manage resources and deployments.
Moreover you need to analyze and resolve complex issues related to Python applications and AWS services. Investigate performance bottlenecks and connectivity problems and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role with a strong focus on Python, AWS, GitHub, Terraform, OpenSearch, and Angular.
- Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, Lambda, and ECS with Docker.
- Good knowledge of Lambdas and microservices.
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git and GitHub.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.
- Experience with OpenSearch for search and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of Angular for front-end development.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools like AWS CodePipeline or Jenkins.
- Ability to troubleshoot AWS ecosystem/clusters/networking/IAM/VPC.
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues efficiently.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and ELK Stack.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in an Agile development environment and participate in sprint planning and review meetings.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and experience of Java,
- Knowledge and experience with .NET and C#.
- Familiarity with Azure services
