About the role:
At Tyro, we’re looking for a Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced, technical environment and enjoys rolling their sleeves up to drive progress. As a key member of our centralised Transformation team, you’ll oversee a variety of strategic projects, each critical to Tyro’s success. In this role, you’ll partner closely with executive sponsors and cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects stay on track and deliver tangible business impact.
You’ll be the driving force behind project planning, with oversight of everything from scope and milestones to budgets and ROI. As priorities evolve, your ability to adapt quickly will be essential—whether you’re resolving dependencies, tracking progress, or guiding your projects to completion. Your collaboration with senior stakeholders will ensure alignment with Tyro’s broader business objectives and your leadership will steer projects towards successful outcomes.
What you'll do:
Project Planning: Work with stakeholders to create and maintain project plans, including scope, milestones, budget, resources, and success criteria, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Ensure Business Impact Consideration: Assess the impact of your projects on Tyro’s business objectives and ensure it is reflected in the project plan.
Influence the Tyro Delivery Framework: Champion our Tyro Delivery Framework, ensuring that projects follow a structured approach from initiation to execution and advocate for improvements where you see them.
Identify and Resolve Dependencies: Identify project dependencies and collaborate with relevant departments to resolve them, ensuring smooth project execution.
Track and Report on Progress: Own the project plan, monitor progress, manage risks, and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives and project goals.
Facilitate Retrospectives: Conduct retrospectives on completed projects to capture feedback and lessons learned, continuously improving project delivery practices.
What you'll bring:
- Proven experience in end-to-end management of business and technology projects, preferably within payments or financial services.
- Expertise in planning, tracking progress, managing budgets, and ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously whilst maintaining a focus on project budgets, ROI, and business impact.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to collaborate with executive leaders and cross-functional teams to align projects with business objectives and prioritise effectively.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and effective problem-solving.
- Strong analytical skills to develop metrics, track project health, and measure the success of deliverables.
