What does your job look like?
As a Data Architect, you will have a fundamental role in the project and the organization. You are responsible for designing, building, and optimizing the data infrastructure, leading and mentoring Data Engineers, as well as designing and evolving the data architecture. Your role is crucial to ensure that data is accessible, secure, and efficient for analysis and decision-making. You will work closely with development teams, database administration, and data analysts to ensure data is integrated and managed properly throughout the project lifecycle, thus providing strong support for the organization's strategic decision-making.
Your main responsibilities will be to:

Data Architecture Design: Develop and maintain data architecture aligned with organizational strategies and define and document data structures (schemas, models, diagrams).

Data Management and Storage: Select and implement data management technologies (databases, cloud storage, big data solutions) and ensure data storage systems are performant, secure, and scalable.

Data Integration: Design and manage data integration from multiple sources and develop and maintain ETL pipelines for data transformation and loading.

Data Security and Governance: Implement security policies to protect data integrity and confidentiality and define and oversee data governance policies and compliance standards.

Optimization and Performance: Monitor and optimize data system performance and resolve bottlenecks and performance issues.

Collaboration and Advisory: Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand data needs and provide technical advice and support for data management decisions.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on data management technologies and Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of data infrastructure and processes.

- Data Lake: Projects and architecture
- Client: Interaction to understand use cases
- Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP
- Infrastructure: Linux (must), Terraform (desirable)
- Big Data: Hadoop, Apache Spark, Kafka (essential)
- Architecture: Data Lake, Lambda, Data Warehouse (essential)
- Governance: Data lineage, Data Quality (desirable)
- CI/CD: Git, Sonar (essential)
- Modeling: Entity-relationship, UML (desirable)
- Databases: SQL Server or Oracle
- Additional tools: Sqoop, Airflow, Python, NIFI (desirable)
- Power BI, Tableu, R (desirable)
