About the role:
As the Head of People & Performance at Tyro you will lead our people partnering strategy and team to deliver a high performance culture. Reporting to the Chief People & Communications Officer, you will collaborate with leaders and people managers across the business to shape our culture, performance frameworks, and leadership capability.
You're a key member of our People, Communications and Sustainability Leads team, responsible for driving uplift and delivery across our people practices, employee relations, reporting and leadership. In this role, you will lead a team of 5 (2 direct reports and 3 indirect reports), enhancing people performance, engagement and leadership across Tyro.
What you'll do:
Team leadership: Current team of five comprised of two Senior People Partners, two People Partners and one People Advisor.
People Practices: Planning and driving delivery across performance, salary review, bonus, engagement, talent reviews and people planning and changes.
Employee Relations: Lead complex, cross team/senior leader cases and support team to resolve issues as they arise.
Reporting and insights: Develop board papers, design and deliver integrated Tyro people insights to senior leaders and evolve our listening strategy.
Leadership development and facilitation: Design leadership capability sessions (often partnering with external providers), deliver coaching and team effectiveness sessions. Regularly present at all team forums, XLT and board as required.
Design and deliver strategic projects as required.
People Partner to People, Communications and Sustainability and General Management teams.
What you'll bring:
You are an inspiring leader with hands on experience as a senior HR practitioner, leading and building capability of people partnering team. You will have a passion for and excel in:
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated success leading People & Culture/People & Performance teams, ideally at a Head of HR or equivalent level in both SME and larger organisations.
Experience in building and launching rem frameworks.
Hands on experience, comfortable rolling up your sleeves to deliver results whilst being a natural people developer who fosters a high-performance, development-focused environment.
Accelerating the business: Generating data and insights, influencing and building capability in senior stakeholders, strategic thinking and leading change management.
Delivery of people strategy: Developing and delivering people plans, cyclical people practices, leading the resolution of employment relations cases, facilitation and leading strategic projects.
Fostering collaboration: Leading teams, collaborating across teams to design and deliver, growth mindset.
Simplify complexity: Connecting Tyro’s strategy to people strategies, integrating people partner focus and capacity into the broader P&C roadmap, presenting complex concepts simply, critical thinking.
