Senior Technical Business Analyst - Migration
We are looking for a strong Technical Business Analyst with proven Duck Creek PAS experience for a key role in the Duck Creek Policy Platform Core technology team which provides governance, specialist consultancy and solutions to project delivery and support teams.

The program will enable the business to deliver new products (including modular products), more seamless customer experiences, and support the delivery of a simpler, digital business. Radical simplification and significant improvement in the speed & cost of change are a critical measure of success of the program and it’s essential this role influences and champions this across the entire program and more broadly across the enterprise.
You will also be part of our large Analysis Chapter that consists of around 200 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.

What you’ll do:
- As the Duck Creek Policy Technical BA, work closely with others in the DC Policy Platform core team to provide governance, specialist consultancy and solutions to project delivery and support teams.
- Build strong relationships through engagement with colleagues, and stakeholders across Business and Technology.
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesise information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business and technology stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet project and support needs.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Create detailed user stories (in JIRA) to support delivery.
- Document Technical design, Functional and Non-Function Requirements, PL101 completion, Policy Data Model updates, Interface/Integration mapping, Migration Mapping, Technical support documentation & Knowledge Bases.
- Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Project Manager, Scrum Master, Architects, Developers, Tech Leads, Test Analyst to identify, capture, plan and deliver changes.
- Mentor/train team members; participate and contribute to Business Analyst chapter and/or forums providing insights and thought leadership.
What you’ll bring:
- MUST HAVE worked on 2 Duck Creek Policy Administration System (PAS) implementations (ideally Asia-PAC experience)
- IDEALLY HAVE 5 years working experience on the Duck Creek PAS
- MUST HAVE Duck Creek Policy functional and technical knowledge and experience documenting requirements through PL101’s
- IDEALLY HAVE worked 1 Duck Creek on Demand (DCOD) project
- IDEALLY HAVE a strong understanding of Duck Creek standards and best practices, and of Duck Creek’s inheritance model
- Training and certification in Duck Creek university and related certification desired.
- Minimum 5 years technical business analysis experience in a project/delivery orientated role; from a large organisation.
- Minimum 3 years’ Agile, Lean and waterfall experience including knowledge of Agile practices, workshops, and Agile ceremonies facilitation.
- Working in the General Insurance space.
- Must be able to translate and understand business and technical requirements and provide appropriate alternatives and solutions to meet those requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, relationship management and influencing skills including experience in dealing with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Strong team player with a positive attitude, willingness to learn and desire to make a difference.
- Must be able to manage multiple complex initiatives with competing deadlines.
