About the role
The Video Producer brings our podcast shows to life across multiple social destinations, Instagram, TikTok, Mamamia's website/app, Facebook, and YouTube. This role involves mastering the hosts' unique tones and understanding audience preferences to create captivating video content. The goal is to drive audience growth and engagement through innovative storytelling and dynamic video production.
Here's some of the stuff you can expect to be doing if you join us:
- Film, edit, and produce engaging content for YouTube, YT Shorts, Instagram, TikTok, and Mamamia platforms, using trending music, effects, and editing techniques.
- Conduct thorough QC checks to maintain error-free video content quality.
- Maintain equipment, ensure suitable shooting locations, adapt videos for different platforms, provide creative direction to hosts, and manage posting with correct metadata and captioning.
- Monitor audience interaction across platforms and provide actionable feedback to the content team based on audience insights and learnings.
- Effectively moderate assigned channels, escalating issues as necessary to maintain community standards and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with hosts, producers, and other teams to understand project requirements and ensure creative vision is met.
- Work with the commercial team to implement campaign strategies as needed, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
- Utilise feedback from hosts to enhance and refine video content, while also organising and managing video files for efficient storage and retrieval. Stay informed about industry trends and platform updates to incorporate innovative ideas into content strategies.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in creating social first compelling and engaging video content that resonates with diverse audiences.
- Proven experience in operating cameras, including knowledge of framing, lighting and audio capture.
- Strong skills in post-production techniques.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- A team player who takes ownership of responsibilities, communicates effectively and gives and receives feedback with honesty, respect, curiosity, and openness.
- Ability to prioritise the needs and perspectives of our audience and commercial partners in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt a measured approach and drive process improvement initiatives and solve problems creatively in a fast-paced environment.
