Mamamia is looking for a Head of Trading and Commercial Operations to join our best in class commercial team.
Here's what you'll be doing. As the Head of Trading & Commercial Operations, you'll lead Mamamia's trading strategy and programmatic operations while managing our key agency relationships across Australia. Here's what you can expect to be doing:
- Build and maintain relationships with trading and investment heads across agency and client partners nationally, negotiating strategic agreements to drive investment growth
- Serve as the technical subject matter expert for direct premium sold and programmatic operations, providing guidance to the commercial team
- Lead the evaluation, testing, and launch of new ad products while optimizing our Ad Operations and Programmatic functions
- Direct day-to-day commercial decisions regarding ad products, pricing, and technical queries including IO review and approvals
- Oversee ad-serving infrastructure settings, develop productisation and monetisation models, and create budget growth / STR modelling
- Design and deliver education sessions to upskill the commercial team on product, technical, and process matters
- Provide ongoing support and direction to the commercial team while managing the Ad Operations team
- Lead commercial negotiations, including development of term-based and distress incentives to drive pipeline conversion
- Enhance trading transparency and identify opportunities for deeper partnerships with key stakeholders
About you
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in digital media trading and programmatic advertising
- A proven track record of growing and managing agency partnerships at a senior level
- Strong leadership skills with experience in developing high-performing teams
- The ability to think strategically while staying on top of day-to-day operational demands
- A collaborative approach with excellent communication skills and the ability to give and receive feedback openly
- A knack for creative problem-solving and process improvement in fast-paced environments
- Experience prioritising multiple stakeholder needs while keeping audience experience front of mind
- Technical proficiency in Google Ad Manager, Triton & Omny (Audio), Major SSPs (GAM360, Magnite, IX, Nexxen), Booster (or comparable sales CMS), Google suite, experience with Monday or other project management tool
