Social Creative (Art Direction)

The Opportunity
The Social Creative will deliver social-first cultural led ideas for some of Australia’s biggest brands. You will be concepting and creating ideas for audiences all across Australia.
This role will involve intermediate experience in everything required to deliver a social campaign: understanding social trends/industry, social strategy, concepting social ideas (design) and capturing bespoke content (creation).
You will work across the entire timeline of a project from initial concept to completion of output. Pitching and presenting it to client as well as ensuring your vision is met with creators, suppliers or internal teams supporting you bringing to life your concept with brands.
You live and breathe social and will be responsible for concepting, writing, creating, designing, producing social-first ideas that will deliver results for brands.
This role is suited to someone with 4 or more years experience as a creative, art director or conceptual designer at a creative agency, publisher or content production company.
A Snapshot Of What You'll Do
- Concept and create social-first ideas for integrated campaigns and standalone social media opportunities across paid and organic, ensuring they are fit for platform and on-brand.
- Self-initiative ideas and proactively contribute to briefs and present proactive work to clients.
- Craft engaging and shareable content across various social media platforms, delivering key messages that resonate with our target audience.
- Bring your ideas or team created ideas to life via using illustrated storyboards, designed elements or video/visual reference.
- Lead graphic designers to create assets when appropriate.
- Prepare briefs for clients appearing in content, talent or spokespeople on organic & paid social opportunities as they arise and prepare recommendations.
- Identify new and reactive content opportunities based on social listening and trends, then work to successfully execute ideas.
- Write scripts/storyboards.
- Collaborate with wider teams to advise them on social best practice when they are running shoots and content production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (PR & Partnerships) to align social media efforts with broader marketing and business objectives.
- Act as a social creative consultant, helping creatives shape higher level social ideas in line with best practice, leveraging innovative opportunities where possible.

Your Ideal Experience
- 4+ years of social content creator experience.
- Excellent knowledge of entertainment and advertising principles within current and emerging social platforms.
- High level of craft skills, delivering professional, high quality social native concepts and motion content.
- High level design and layout skills including typography, photography and graphics.
- Professional knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, plus social platform tools and trends.
- Creative thinker, able to create stunning content against tight deadlines if required; able to brief others to do the same and manage to ensure outcome of a high standard.
- Intermediate level copywriting of social media assets - paid and organic.
- Passionate about all things social, PR, influencer marketing, experiential and content.
- Plugged into culture - knows what’s hot and what’s not (sport, music, lifestyle).
