How will I help?
As a hands-on Engineer, you’ll use your skills in building, designing, maintaining, and testing, for the development of our technology used by the Digital Consumer Finance technology team. You will also engage with various stakeholders and become an expert in your domain whilst supporting the broader engineering community.
Consumer Finance technology team works with the business team in transforming the business vision into reality by planning and delivering the projects along with our strategic partners. Work in a fast-paced and agile environment, contributing to major transformation programs and supporting the Consumer Finance technology core systems.
Key accountabilities:
- Design and develop user interfaces for customer-facing applications using React JS.
- Design, Implement, and maintain micro service (API) using Spring-Boot.
- Write clean, modular, maintainable code using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
- Understanding of end-to-end application performance and optimization techniques and tools.
- Implement responsive designs with reusable and scalable UI components.
- Problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices of UI development
- Collaborate with service owners to understand the requirements and translate them into technical user stories.

What do I need?
Essential
- Financial services experience
- Excellent analysis and design skills with technical problem-solving
- HTML5, CSS3 & Java Script.
- CI/CD tools ie Bit, bitbucket, Jenkins or bamboo.
- React JS, Redux, Node JS.
- Restful API design principles and standards
- API security and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)
- Spring Boot and Restful API
Desirable
- Passion for automation
- Degree or equivalent in science, computer science, maths
- Kafka
- Splunk/App Dynamics
