About APRA
Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) was established in 1998 as an independent statutory authority that supervises almost 1,200 financial institutions that manage $8.6 trillion in assets for Australians across the banking, insurance and superannuation sectors.
APRA serves the Australian community by helping ensure financial institutions deliver on the financial commitments they make, within a stable, efficient and competitive financial system. As the prudential regulator at the heart of Australia’s financial services industry, we are accountable to the Australian Parliament and work closely with the Australian Treasury, the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA) and the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC).
The role
The primary role will be the product management of the digital Prudential Handbook (“Handbook”). The Handbook is a way to access and navigate APRA’s prudential framework in an online format, including all prudential standards and related guidance. Secondary to this, you will work with the Policy Frameworks team, supporting their mission to make APRA’s prudential framework clearer, simpler and more adaptable.
As the Product Owner of the Handbook, you will be the Handbook’s subject matter expert and the first point of contact for queries on the Handbook. You will help to set the long-term vision for the Handbook, championing the feedback and needs of Handbook users and working with our development and hosting partner to plan and prioritise any enhancements required to the product.
The team
Policy is a core function of APRA, responsible for developing new prudential standards and guidance on emerging risks, along with reviewing and updating existing standards and guidance. This role is unique in that it encompasses both policy and digital communications functions. Success in this role will require engaging with internal handbook users and external stakeholders, and collaborating with other members of the Policy Frameworks and Digital Communications team.

- Suggesting and advocating for process improvements within the policy team as it relates to the content management of the Handbook;
- Coordinating reviews of the framework in the Handbook to ensure that it remains up-to-date;
- Championing the Handbook’s ongoing compliance with legislative requirements; and
- Managing checks on information uploaded to the Handbook to ensure that information is published correctly.
About you
- Experience with the use of content management systems;
- Significant understanding of digital and contemporary communications methods, including website design, video, infographics and other data presentation methods;
