The Software Business Analyst plays a key advisory role, collaborating with business stakeholders, the product design and delivery teams to analyse, evaluate, and prioritise business requirements and solutions. This role is responsible for modelling requirements, refining scope and objectives, and delivering value to the organisation by enabling great solutions and driving the improvement of business processes.
The Opportunity
Cochlear has an opportunity for a full-time Software Business Analyst based in our Macquarie, Sydney office. In this role, the successful Software Business Analyst will be responsible for evaluating business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and working with our design and delivery teams to implement the right solutions. This role involves analysing and defining requirements collaboratively, assisting in the development of solutions, and ensuring the alignment of initiatives to business goals. The Software Business Analyst will collaborate with various functions to ensure the product meets the user and business need is developed and delivered efficiently while keeping a focus on continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with stakeholders and the Product team to clarify and define scope, objectives, and requirements for software projects.
Use techniques and tools to identify and decompose work into packages and assist in the development of solutions from Design through to Delivery.
Contribute to the Business Outcome Document (business case), including cost, budget, and system integration details.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and recommend advancements for continuous improvement within product and the wider Product Design Group.
Facilitate discussions with internal teams, including Clinical, Regulatory, and Quality, to ensure all stakeholder needs are addressed.
Support teams in writing high-quality user stories and product requirements appropriate for a medical device manufacturer.
Evaluate new or changed technology solutions and assist in gap analysis to determine the best fit for the organisation.
Provide product support and coordinate activities across various functions to resolve product issues.
Evaluate and optimise business processes, uncover improvement areas, and work with teams to implement solutions.
