Senior Software Engineer (iOS)
The objective of the Senior Software Engineer - iOS role is to provide technical leadership, systems analysis, design, development, maintenance & ongoing support for Suncorp’s digital iOS applications.
The focus of this position will be to work in a collaborative environment and deliver features that will make insurance service easier for our customers. You’ll be a passionate iOS developer with experience in other languages and someone that is willing to help drive change through continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Technical leadership including grow the Agile culture and mentor junior developers
- Improving and maintaining standards: coding, testing, CD, automation
- Software Development including native mobile development, web, design and analysis
- Writing automated tests and helping QA lead develop testing frameworks
- After hours on-call may be required
What you'll bring
- 5+ years in software engineering experience with iOS development
- Proficiency with modern iOS technologies, particularly SwiftUI and Structural Concurrency (Must-Have)
- Strong grasp of iOS development patterns (OOP/SOLID, MVVM, MVC, Clean Architecture)
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and working with testing frameworks (XCTest, Swift Testing)
- Coaching and mentoring junior engineers (highly desirable)
