About the Role
The Digital Technical Lead brings together some thought leadership into icare’s Digital Asset Platform space, leading a team of front end and back end Digital developers as they work with BAU team members and Project team members to innovate across our Website and Portals space. They will be responsible for the utmost quality of the Digital solutions delivered across the Digital practice at icare, creating, improving and maintaining frameworks, standards, best practices and principles with regards to Digital Development within the practice.

Duties
It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as a Digital Technical Lead you will:
Technical Leadership across Product:
- Lead technology solutions end-to-end that meet technical and business requirements on icare’s Digital Experience platforms (Website, Digital Experience Portals and Intranet).
- Liaise with the Practice lead, Operations lead and Head of Digital Assets to develop operational readiness strategies, product road map, assess business impacts for new requirements.
- Identify emerging trends, thought leadership in software development and introduce these to the project as well as the enterprise.
Demonstrate Technical SME leadership capabilities across Development:
- Contribute to and participate in the application development function including front end and back end, in-house development and external vendor-based development.
- Ensure components of the overall technical design and build components that relate to the Digital practice meet the standards of quality, scalability and maintainability.
- Guide cross-functional teams, project and BAU front end and back-end team members in troubleshooting issues.
- Perform code review and technical analysis of Code including but not limited to: JavaScript, React JS, Angular, Node.js, .NET MVC applications, jQuery, GEL and CSS/ HTML.
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of mobile applications using ReactNative.
Derisk platform and projects:
- Attend practice stand-ups, demonstrate ownership and liaising with relevant leads and team members to inform and resolve technical issues or risks as required.
- Support our Digital Dev Ops Lead, Operations Lead, Security team and Infra team to plan, analyse technical impact of and support regular and ad-hoc security fixes and patching.
Collaborate to deliver Business outcomes:
- Collaborate with Enterprise solution architects to plan, design and build enterprise-wide Digital solutions.
- Collaborate with Analysts and System specialists to plan, design and develop Digital application specifications.
Lead and Develop:
- Mentor and coach Digital Developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth in the Digital practice.
- Collaborate with Leads, Senior team members and Vendor technical leads to develop and guide in the technical space.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a Technical Lead in Digital practices.
- Overall 10+ years of IT experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge in digital architecture and solution engineering.
- Proven Agile/ Scrum experience in a large enterprise organisation.
- Strong knowledge of backend CMS and DXP systems.
- Proven experience in AWS services, SQL Server, Visual Studio, GIT, CI/ CD.
- Familiarity with web services, APIs (SOAP and REST).
- Knowledge of mobile app development frameworks and automation tools.
- Solid interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching and conflict resolution.
