About the Role:
We are seeking a Digital Content Producer for a 7 Month Max-Term role placement based in THQ Blackburn.
Purpose of the Role:
The Digital Content Producer is responsible for redeveloping content – as identified by internal stakeholders – that aligns to editorial style and tone. In addition, you will publish the content as per the content roadmap.
As a member of the Communications Portfolio, Brand & Marketing department and within the Digital Marketing team, the Digital Content Producer will work as part of a broader cross-functional team, and ensure our brand, digital accessibility, our mission, and our values are applied to content.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
This role is to support the content review and creation for The Salvation Army’s new website which includes the following tasks:
Task Management: Receive, assess, and prioritize content re-writing tasks from various departments, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and within set deadlines. Maintain a structured workflow to manage multiple requests effectively.
Content Enhancement: Improve clarity, coherence, and engagement of existing content by refining language, structure, and presentation while ensuring strict adherence to the company's tone, voice, and style guidelines.
Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough content reviews, checking for grammatical accuracy, factual correctness, and alignment with quality standards before publication. Ensure all revised content is polished and error-free.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to understand content requirements and align deliverables with business objectives.
Feedback Integration: Collect and incorporate stakeholder feedback effectively, ensuring revisions meet expectations without compromising content quality.
Communication: Maintain open, clear, and consistent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates on task progress while managing expectations and timelines.
Publish Content as Required on New Platform:
Platform Proficiency: Develop a thorough understanding of the new content management system to ensure efficient and consistent content publishing.
Content Upload & Formatting: Accurately upload and format content on the platform, ensuring alignment with best practices for SEO and user experience.
Content Monitoring & Updates: Regularly review published content for accuracy and relevance, making timely updates to keep information current and engaging.
Qualifications and Experience Required:
Understanding of and commitment to the mission and values of The Salvation Army.
Degree in Marketing/Communications (or related discipline).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a copywriter or content writer working across a range of channels, contexts and sectors, ideally including experience from a master brand perspective.
Demonstrated understanding and ability developing brand content and engaging, relevant, integrated and campaignable creative.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong storytelling ability.
Strong awareness of, and/or interest in, news and current affairs.
