Summary:
We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating visually appealing designs that communicate our brand message effectively. The Graphic Designer will execute design and development on all print and digital projects to a quality standard within sometimes tight deadlines, respecting the importance of meeting those deadlines.
This role will assume responsibility for allocated projects that may involve:
- Packaging – Cygnett/Tonic/White Label
- Catalogue/POS
- eCommerce – packaging (in-box experience)
- Events – Shows/Conferences/Events
- Branding – Flyers/Merchandise/Gifting
- Any other project work
Responsibilities:
Design and development of all print and digital projects
- Remain on-brand - execute and guard brand vision/guidelines for all print visual communication, with the support of brand agency 21-19.
- Strong working relationship with all printers (ZH), assigning best resources to execute packaging strategy and leading visual execution of plan.
- Stay-in tune with local and global packaging movements, including sustainability, storytelling and costs of materials.
- Continually review POS and catalogue (retail executions), understanding the opportunities/challenges to execute in this space.
- Ensure all print executions are aligned with key brand narratives outlined in brand guidelines. Remain on-brand.
Process owner of all print and digital projects and deadlines, respecting the importance of meeting those deadlines.
- 100% strike rate on meeting all project deadlines you agree to.
- Manage all incoming print projects on Monday, that have been assigned to you, collaborating with other members of the Design team, including Industrial Design, as well as external agencies (including brand/digital agencies/printers/photographers, etc).
- Support Senior Graphic Designer with managing Print Design + GTM boards (design section) on Monday.
- Help lead the print agenda on all meetings, within the Design team and those including other departments.
Problem solver within the Design team and company-wide
- Stay in tune with local and international art and design scene and invest in yourself - Remain current on industry trends and technology.
- Be a critical contributor who is pro-active, and a positive team member of the team and brand.
- Creatively execute packaging, tenders and events under the guidance of the Marketing Manager and with art direction from 21-19.
- Creatively execute POS collateral for global retailers.
- Manage projects assigned to you and execute creative that is on brand, on time, and accurate under the guidance of the art director eg. Catalogue layouts
- Inspire in-house creative staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in graphic design in a similar role
- Ability to manage projects to end
- Excellent collaboration and problem solving skills, taking feedback from others and integrating where possible
- Enjoys working with people of all backgrounds to make sure they have a positive customer experience
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, act quickly and decisively
- Experienced communicator who has an engaging style in both written and verbal communications
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in MS office, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and social media - Facebook, Instragram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc...
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
