Business Analyst - Regulatory

About the role:
For this role, preference will be given to candidates who have previous experience working on risk/regulatory projects and experience in business continuity. Most importantly you will have a can-do attitude, be willing to learn and excel at building relationships.
You will have the opportunity to join our large Analysis Chapter that supports a variety of medium to large scale programs across the Suncorp Group. The Chapter consists of around 290 like-minded analysts, where ideas and best practice are shared via masterclasses and knowledge sharing.
What you'll do
- Build strong relationships through engagement with customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders
- Use information gathering techniques to proactively discover requirements and synthesize information accurately, completely, and coherently.
- Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
- Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks were applicable.
- Document current and future state processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
- Work close with squad / project members, including but not limited to Delivery lead, Scrum Master, Developers, Tech Leads, and Business stakeholders to identify, capture, plan and deliver the scope of work.
- Working in an Agile continuous delivery environment and be responsible for analysing and documenting requirements, facilitate workshops and design solution sessions
What you'll bring
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience as a business analysis within a large complex organisation
- Demonstrated experience working on risk and regulatory projects, including gathering requirements to meet APRA reporting standards.
- Strong analytical and communication skills to synthesise information accurately and present it coherently.
- Proven ability to understand and address the technical impacts of business problems.
- Familiarity with business continuity practices and an eagerness to enhance your expertise in this area.
- Confidence, teamwork, and adaptability when engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence to support delivery activities effectively.
