Job Description
Nine Melbourne are on the lookout for new talent to join our Casual Marketing Team for upcoming events.
The Casual Marketing Team is a vital part of Nine’s national marketing strategy, designed to support the promotion of our programs in the community. Being a part of this team will give you invaluable insight into community marketing and brand activations, and get a foot in the door with Australia’s largest locally owned media company.
Please note this is a casual position. All candidates will need to be available for the first event of the year from March 6th - 10th. There is a possibility of continuing casual work after this, but this is not guaranteed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Interacting with the public in a professional and lively manner while facilitating the Channel 9 activation
- Engaging with Channel 9 brands such as 9News and The Block to promote them to the public
- Setting up/packing down event activations – note this role may require some manual labour and heavy lifting
- Following event briefs, taking photos for post-campaign reports and completing event feedback forms
- Liaising with clients and partners at events
- Working closely with talent
- Ensuring that brand integrity is maintained at all times
Qualifications
As this is a short-term role, it would suit a current university student and/or someone with another part time or casual job. Previous history in promotional work and events will be advantageous.
The successful candidate will need:
- Availability from March 6th - 10th.
- A passion for television and the wider media industry
- To be well-presented, energetic and comfortable chatting to anyone
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving and time-management skills
- A proven ability to work under pressure and prioritise
- Experience working in a team environment
- A willingness to get your hands dirty and help with whatever is needed to make an event successful
- A current Victorian driver’s licence
- A current Victorian Working with Children Check (or the ability to obtain one)
