Description
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to drive sales revenue and build lasting relationships with public sector customers in New South Wales. You will be representing the Salesforce team, with a focus on government clients, demonstrating customer focus while leading all aspects of the sales process. Your responsibilities will include Account Planning, Lead Qualification, Negotiation, and Closing, always focusing on developing long-term partnerships with key government stakeholders. This is a quota-carrying position, essential to the success of the broader sales team.
Some of the things you’ll be doing include:
- Create and implement effective territory and account plans for the specified region/customer base.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Government and Public Sector customers, including regulatory changes, government initiatives, and procurement cycles.
- Position our unique product capabilities that address the specific needs of government entities.
- Meet and exceed sales goals (quotas) through prospecting, qualifying, managing, and closing sales opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Lead and leverage a matrix account team consisting of Business Development Representatives, Cloud Sales Executives, Solution Engineers, Services Practice Managers, Marketing, Inside Sales Support, and Customer Success Professionals. Together, you will develop and execute a territory plan to manage the sales pipeline and enhance customer relationships and value. (For large accounts within your territory, you will co-develop and execute detailed account plans.)
- Build and manage strategic partner alliances and relationships as part of the fully integrated account and territory plan.
- As a CRM company, maintaining our CRM is crucial. It’s not just about ticking boxes—it’s about articulating a well-planned sales strategy within the system and delivering on that. You'll ensure the CRM accurately reflects account status and opportunities, driving informed decisions and helping us meet our targets.
- Nurture and expand relationships with public sector accounts by building trust and deeply understanding their unique challenges, including budget constraints, regulatory requirements, and evolving government policies. Stay ahead of competitive issues and demonstrate how our solutions effectively address these challenges to drive customer success.
- Practice effective and excellent communication with leadership, customers, extended teams, and partners, ensuring alignment with public sector needs and priorities.
- Participate in team-building and company-growth activities such as strategic planning, sales training, customer marketing efforts, and volunteering.
- Travel to customer locations in support of sales efforts, particularly across the New South Wales region.
