How will I help?
As a Senior Data Insight Analyst, you will be a key Member of the Customer Solutions and your role is paramount to helping contribute the delivery of Westpac’s vision and Strategic priorities.
The role is responsible for the provision of analysis and insights to the Customer Solutions business which involves managing the requirements and delivering them for the Customer Solutions business.
Some of the key accountabilities are:
- Leveraging effective relationships with Business Partners (internal & external) to identify opportunities to improve commercial returns and our customer’s experience
- Working with operations leaders to step-up their processes and technology to leverage opportunities for growth and transformation
- Supporting the development of the Analytics team, sharing and directing the team to deliver to industry best practice
- Encouraging and supporting a seamless relationship between other areas within the Reporting & Infrastructure Team and Operations Managers
- Working closely with the all streams within the business to support the teams to achieve performance objectives through accurate reporting & infrastructure.

What do I need?
- Ideally 5 years of experience in data analysis
- Bachelor or post graduate qualification in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or Statistics preferred.
- Experience in providing service excellence by driving value through effective partnering with the Customer Solutions business
- Very good understanding and working knowledge of Credit Risk in Banking, Remediations and Collections
- Strong working experience with tools like SAS, SQL, Teradata, Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx or VBA
- Experience with MS Office products like Excel, PPT
- Experience in completion of collating data and reporting layer in Tableau/PowerBI, to transition their focus on insights generation. This could take the shape of scenario modelling to provide predictive and prescriptive insights.
