Salary Range: $145,378 – $168,130 p.a. base salary dependent on experience, plus 11.5% superannuation

Government Technology Platforms (GTP) forms part of Digital NSW and delivers core and common digital capabilities and infrastructure solutions including cross sector leadership across NSW Government underpinned by the Digital Government Strategy.
Digital NSW is transforming to become the trusted partner for accessible and secure digital platforms across the state. We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the design, evaluation, and implementation of innovative solutions that meet business and customer needs.
In this role, you will collaborate with data architects, service designers, and business analysts to define and implement the future state design. The Solution Architect will possess expertise across business, data, application, and technology architecture domains, along with strong communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Day to Day Responsibilities
-
Analyse and decompose business requirements, non-functional requirements, models, and other artefacts to inform both current and target state architecture.

Develop solution architecture, integration designs, and technical options to solve business problems, ensuring services perform, scale, are reliable, and meet availability and redundancy requirements.

Work with the broader architecture team to ensure designs align with the target state architecture, standards, principles, and strategic direction.
Manage multiple product streams, ensuring iterative build processes are completed within the required sprint timelines.
What you will bring to this role
-

A foundation in systems development, with a strong understanding of the system development life cycle, project management approaches, and design, requirements, and testing techniques.

Strong solution modelling and design skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to both business and technical stakeholders.
-
Experience in developing and applying solution patterns and standards, and the ability to adapt them to new solutions.
-
Knowledge of established and emerging technologies, with the ability to incorporate these into both new and existing solutions.

Proven experience collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders to provide expert advice on technology strategy and architecture, maximising technology

TOGAF Level 8+ or equivalent (highly desirable)

Demonstrated experience in architectural roles

A tertiary qualification in IT, Systems or Software Engineering, Computer Science Digital, Information Management, or equivalent

At least 5 years’ experience as a Solution Architect
