About the role
The role requires you to be out on the road visiting your pharmacies,
ensuring the in-store stakeholders in your territory are feeling well
supported. Territory encompasses North of Central Coast, Newcastle and
surrounds. Your sales targets will be your focus but this is balanced with
excellent customer service and relationship building with both internal and
external stakeholders. Reporting to the State Manager you will be
responsible for pharmacies within your territory. Key tasks and
responsibilities are listed below.

Manage sales and budgets, achieve targets and drive growth, within your
allocated territory
- Visiting customers in your territory (usually 6 per day)

Ensure all customers are aware of new products, upcoming promotions and
cycle deals
- Plan and implement 10 week Territory cycle plans
- Complete 1 country trip every 4 weeks (5 day trip each month)

Build product range and volume to ensure there is good coverage of all
products in all stores
- Improve product positioning

Administer orders, keep updated with customer contact details and order
history
- Coordinate promotions and catalogues

Train pharmacy staff members on new and existing product range as needed
- Plan window or instore displays/promotion
- Attendance required to relevant conferences and sales meetings

Liaise with internal sales and provide ongoing feedback relating to all
relevant customer information

Factors that will support success in this role:

A minimum 2 years’ experience in field sales within pharmaceutical or
other industry
- An understanding of retail pharmacy sales
- Strong sales skills
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Ability to understand and achieve targets
- Strong rapport building and interpersonal relationship skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Well-developed planning, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work autonomously
- Highly motivated
