EHS Intern
What to Expect
This is an excellent opportunity to join Tesla's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team, providing critical support to our dynamic team whilst learning a wide range of skills within the energy and construction industries. In this fast-paced position, you will be supported but responsible for complex daily work within an extensive scope of EHS disciplines across our Energy operations. In addition, you will be involved in assisting with various critical tasks, investigations and projects when required. This role will give an energetic, motivated and enthusiastic individual wanting to establish a career within Tesla a solid foundation for growth with applicable learnt skills and industry knowledge.
This role can be based in Sydney or Brisbane.
What You’ll Do
- Be a vital member of the Environmental, Health and Safety Team, supporting the broader Energy team.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and execution of key local and global business objectives.
- Provide analysis of existing legal and internal requirements alongside efficiency to ensure best practice.
- Learn how to create and maintain day-to-day stakeholder relationships.
- Learn about and support incident follow-up, management, and process improvement.
- Learn how to coordinate projects both on and off site.
What You’ll Bring
- Studying towards a degree in a relevant field of occupational safety, construction, or project management or similar.
- Good knowledge in the areas of Human and Organisational Performance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite, including experience with SharePoint.
- An ability to work in a team as well as in an organised and independent manner.
- A bias for action, with the ability to be proactive, creative, and innovative in approaching challenges.
- A proven record of prioritising effectively and handling shifting priorities.
- A detail driven outlook, with an ability to execute with efficiency, accuracy and speed in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
- A current driver’s license and willingness to obtain a police check and Working with Children’s check.
- Ability to work full time and for a 6-month contract
