Description
The Strategy & Operations team at Salesforce is a high-performance
team chartered with formulating go-to-market strategy, driving
excellence in execution, and assisting senior leaders in achieving sales
growth through data-driven insights.
Salesforce ANZ is looking for an experienced professional to partner
with our senior leadership team as a trusted advisor, focused on
strategic planning, sales optimisation and business operational support.
You will collaborate with many cross-functional teams such as finance,
employee success, marketing, operations, and others. This is a
high-impact role, with constantly evolving priorities and demands. You
will think strategically, arrive at a focused execution plan, and lead
the plan to fruition. Example of projects can range from the very
strategic to the very operational and focus on some of the many areas,
such as Go-To-Market planning, Salesforce product playbook, territory
alignment, data quality, business planning, market segmentation, sales
pipeline, and business performance review.
The successful candidate will be someone who can balance strategy and
operations, can work independently, is an analytic rockstar and team
player, and can handle the pressure of presenting to executive
leadership. You will be responsible for leading a team of 4 so prior
people leadership is essential.
Responsibilities:

Work hand in hand with the Senior Executives of our Specialisation
& Solutions teams to ideate and evaluate Go-to-Market changes

Orchestrate the design and implementation of all aspects of the
Go-To-Market plan under the annual sales strategy planning cycle.
This includes account segmentation, resource allocation, territory
assignment, compensation, quota setting, etc.

People leadership, leading a team of 4 direct reports

Drive forecast management excellence to ensure sustained, predictable
growth across all business units, coordinate weekly forecast calls to
track status of sales pursuits.

Drive a regular operational model and cadence for the executive
leadership team including regular business reviews

Build executive presentations, crafting key recommendations for
senior executives in strategic decision making and investment

Manage a portfolio of projects to identify business growth
opportunities and/or improve operational efficiency

Analyse the health and momentum of the business by tracking and
interpreting performance metrics

Assist in troubleshooting of operational issues as they surface;
propose changes to systems and processes to fix root causes.

Work cross‐functionally with extended teams on transformational
projects

Manage ad hoc requests from top management
Desired Experience/ Skills
-
Strong experience in business analytics, consulting or finance
-
Experience in a fast-paced growth company or with subscription
software business models is a plus

Proven people leadership, with an emphasis on supporting other’s
career growth

Good analytical skills: Demonstrated ability to conduct data-driven
analysis and draw insights. Advanced Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
modeling capabilities required. Experience using business
intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Einstein
Analytics is favourable

Problem-solving: Ability to structure complex problems, diagnose
issues, originate new solutions and make recommendations

Excellent communication skills: Ability to translate analysis into
easily digestible messages and make succinct executive presentations
(verbal/ written) for senior leaders

Flexibility and sense of urgency: Ability to adjust on the fly to new
demands and resilience in an environment of ambiguity

Autonomy and drive: Self-motivated with a highly collaborative style,
strong influencing skills, and drive to work in a rapidly changing
growth environment

High proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint and Google
Slides and a basic understanding of multidimensional databases
required; prior experience with SQL, Business Objects, Tableau, or
Tableau CRM (Einstein Analytics) a plus
