Reporting to the Chief Growth & Partnerships Officer (with a dotted line to the Chief Operations and Product Officer), this role focuses on ensuring IFS (and all its services and products) is positioned deliberately and consistently in market whether that be branded assets, social media content, published reporting/proposal or speaking engagements/events. The Marketing Specialist also has a key role in encouraging and supporting the business’s adoption of new technology, including creating content, supporting appearance and branding consistency, and championing technology integration.

About the role
We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to implement key initiatives in branding, content, and event management. This role involves the management and maintenance of websites, LinkedIn, and associated platforms to uphold and enhance our brand identity. You will audit and preserve brand assets, create and curate high-quality marketing materials, and develop a centralized library of collateral aligned with our style guide. By integrating AI, automation, and technology, you will drive innovation, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure cohesive brand messaging across all channels.
As the focal point for Content Publishing and Events, you will implement content strategies to advance business objectives and employer branding. Key responsibilities include publishing newsletters, discussion papers, and public-facing materials, as well as planning and executing high-profile events such as our annual advice conference and stakeholder engagements. Furthermore, you will support client engagement by conducting satisfaction surveys, drafting business proposals, and ensuring the effective operation of our CRM systems, including facilitating staff training on AI-driven tools.
Additionally, you will leverage AI and analytics to deliver market insights, monitor industry trends, and secure media coverage to support client growth. Your aptitude for managing budgets, maximizing ROI, and streamlining workflows will be instrumental in advancing our strategic goals and strengthening market positioning.
About you
Qualifications and experience:
- Post graduate qualifications in Marketing or related specialty
- 5 years + in generalist marketing
- Experience in graphic design, content development and/or social media, essential
- Experience in professional services marketing within a B2B environment essential
- Experience in Financial Services, Financial Planning, Debt Recovery, Superannuation would be highly regarded
Skills:
- Must be technologically savvy with a strong interest in seeking out, implementing and embedding AI, automation and technology in all aspect of professional sphere
- Content Management Systems such as WordPress to maintain website and intranet content
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, in particular Word and PowerPoint
- Previous experience in a range of digital platforms such as Mail Chimp, Survey Monkey and LinkedIn
- Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills essential
- Ability to write in various styles and voices essential to produce a wide variety of content and collateral suitable for unique and specific audiences
