THE OPPORTUNITY
We have a unique exciting permanent full-time opportunity for a Social Media Manager to join our Growth Marketing division based in Macquarie Park Sydney, NSW.
Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, your main responsibility will be to develop and implement social media brand strategies, build our brand’s online presence and brand loyalty from customers and followers. This role will be responsible for driving meaningful interactions with our audience across various social media profiles and channels.
We are looking for someone enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is self-driven. We employ a hybrid working charter with flexible working options and 3 days/ week office attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy
- Working with Insights team on extensive customer online behaviour research to design the right social channel mix and to define the brand’s voice and messages style.
- Develop a cohesive social strategy to build an active online community, to grow followers, and to drive a high level of user engagement.
- Conduct a Social Media audit - to review the performance today and identify future opportunities to grow.
- Design a thought leadership strategy for social selling
- Discover the opportunities to work with influencers / thought leaders to promote brand awareness and to create social buzz.
- Understanding social media trends and hashtags to create a solid content strategy that resonates with our target audiences to acquire new followers.
- Assist digital performance team and marketing team with social campaign strategy and content strategy.
Content
- Manage a social media content calendar, to plan and schedule posts in advance across various channels (eg. LinkedIn, FB, YouTube etc.)
- Working with the creative team and broader marketing team to develop compelling creative assets (eg. images, reel, long format video, shorts, infographic etc.)
- Responsible for social content copy writing and posting in line with business goals.
- Recommend content ideas that suit the social platforms to resonate with targeted audience.
- Attending events where suitable, to capture social content and post
Social Accounts Management
- Actively managing corporate social account, social media groups, company’s selected thought leaders social accounts, responsibilities include yet not limited to: observing followers’ responses, content posting, giving guidance to stakeholders on how to respond and responding on their behalf as requested - to comments and direct messages.
Digital Events
- Collaborate with marketing and sales team on webinars and podcast activities to support lead generation
Performance
- Define the most important social media KPIs and track performance to optimise and gauge success of social media posts and advertising campaigns.
- Closely monitor brand mentions with using social listening tool to ensure we are driving a social buzz and positive impact to the business.
- Social media reports on Return Of Investment (ROI).
Skills & Attributes
- 5+ years’ experience in a social media role with an agency background preferred (large organisation, B2B, IT services preferred)
- Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal English and communication skills.
- Passion for innovation with the ability to think outside the box.
