DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Head of Digital who can lead a team while being hands-on with trading across Social, Search and Programmatic Media. This role requires you to know where best to buy digital inventory to ensure that client goals & ROIs are met. You will work closely with the Data & Analytics Team, Client Service Team and Audience Group Media Buyers to determine appropriate budget splits and media weights, cross-channel. As the Head of Digital, you are required to understand how to buy inventory using various technologies, and for what price, inventory, audience, and programmatic strategies that will result in a successful campaign for the client’s overall business goals.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Working with a trading team, internal of the agency’s own Trading Desk, trading across key platforms (Social, Search, Programmatic) to ensure optimal media investment, profitability, and campaign performance.
- Monitoring and adjusting campaign configuration to optimise client outcomes, ensuring quality assurance checks on campaigns configured in base advertising platforms.
- Accountable for all aspects of the activation of digital media campaigns, including campaign creation, performance optimisation, and budget monitoring within the agency.
- Providing strategic recommendations during campaign media planning, input into new campaign developments and new business development.
- Analyse and optimise campaigns based on performance data to maximize return on investment (ROI) and contribution to agency margin.
- Innovate within the trading function by adopting new tools, platforms, and processes to maintain a competitive edge while enhancing profitability.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and analytics to continuously improve trading outcomes.
- Cultivate relationship by growing and maintaining key partnerships with clients and within the network (media platforms, vendors etc.)
- Regular reporting to the Directors on the overall performance of digital media activities within the agency
- Collaborate with the Analytic team and broader trading and investment teams to influence agency-wide strategies, particularly focusing on digital media’s contribution to overall profitability.

- Proven experience in digital media trading (Social, Search, and Programmatic).
- Leadership ability, developing and managing teams in a high-performance environment.
- Strong commercial acumen.
- Analytical and data-driven mindset, with expertise in optimising media investments to achieve both performance and profitability goals.
- Ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders and presenting complex data in a clear and actionable manner.

Preferred experience:
- 4+ years’ experience working in an agency environment, managing multiple accounts while ensuring campaign profitability.
- Familiarity with media trading platforms, programmatic technologies, and tools that support margin optimisation.
- A track record of delivering cost-efficient media buys that enhance both client outcomes and agency profitability.
