This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
We are looking for a highly collaborative self starter with a passion for social media and creativity. You’ll be living and breathing content and data, attending shoots to capture content and teaming up with a range of departments across the business to inspire and generate new ideas to connect with our audiences and drive brand engagement across a wide variety of social media channels.
Strategy Development
- Develop and implement the organic social media strategy for our Alternaleaf and uMeds social channels, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and objectives. Current channels include IG, FB, YouTube, LinkedIn, X & TikTok.
- Develop an always-on Organic Social Media Strategy that works hand in hand with the Paid Strategy and helps to drive significant traffic volumes to the website
- Identify target audience segments and tailor strategies to engage these groups effectively.
- Research and stay informed about the latest social media trends and best practice to continuously refine/optimise the strategy.
- Build and develop the Social Media Influencer Strategy working closely with the Brand & Partnership teams.
Content Management
- Develop exceptional working relationships with a wide variety of teams across the business, always having an ear to the ground to identify and inspire creative social ideas and encourage a cross-functional approach to ideation.
- Work closely with our in-house creative teams and studio to oversee and create all social media posts across all platforms, and ensure content is timely, relevant, and engaging.
- Collaborate with designers and content creators to produce high-quality, visually appealing content that is on brand and aligns with business objectives.
- Monitor and analyse content performance using analytics tools to guide future content decisions (Sprout Social)
Community Building
- Implement engagement strategies to increase the number of followers and boost interaction, including contests and live Q&A sessions.
- Build relationships with influencers and other industry professionals to expand reach and brand awareness and work closely with the partnerships and sponsorship team to leverage relationships as much as possible.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Track, measure, and report on social media KPIs and performance
- Iterate and optimise based on analytics and feedback to improve the performance of future campaigns.
- Use Sprout social’s listening capabilities to inform strategies, tactics and broader business decisions.
- Provide regular updates to internal teams and stakeholders on the performance of social media initiatives and their impact on overall marketing and business objectives.
Reporting and Performance
- Compile and maintain comprehensive reporting to measure performance and share results with the leadership team.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and improve social media campaigns using data and analytics from all platforms.
