We are greyhound lovers who support the exciting and vibrant sport of greyhound racing at every stage of the lifecycle from breeding, racing to retirement. Greyhound Racing NSW (GRNSW) is a body corporate constituted by the Greyhound Racing Act 2017 charged with providing strategic direction and leadership in the commercial management of the industry in NSW. In its role GRNSW promotes the exciting racing aspect of the industry, but also the equally important welfare and rehoming of our animals once their athletic careers are behind them through numerous pathways including the newly introduced international avenues. Through its commercial work GRNSW aims to ensure the sustainability and long-term commercial viability of the industry for the benefit of participants, business partners and the community.
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Marketing Manager to join our high performing team. Reporting into the Chief Commercial Officer this role will be instrumental in developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that drives growth for GRNSW and our subsidiaries. The ideal candidate will be a marketing all-rounder and possess a unique blend of analytical expertise, strategic thinking, and creativity to effectively engage our diverse audience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance the brand presence of Greyhound Racing NSW, Greyhounds as Pets NSW and thedogs.com.au.
- Development and implementation of marketing calendar, identifying events and campaign periods to promote greyhound racing and rehoming initiatives.
- Manage our adoption lead generation and optimise rehoming opportunities.
- Utilize analytical tools and market research to identify target markets, segment audiences, and optimize marketing campaigns.
- Management and delivery of marketing campaigns on time and to budget.
- Analysis and reporting of marketing performance to achieve optimal ROI.
- Create compelling and persuasive copy for various marketing materials, including advertisements, social media posts, email campaigns, and website content.
- Manage effective and strategic supplier relationships, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality marketing materials and services.
- Build strong relationships with all internal stakeholders and regularly consult on marketing initiatives.

Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in marketing or related field.
- Proven track record of success in marketing roles, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar capacity.
- A background in racing, sports, entertainment or a similar industry will be highly regarded.
- Strong analytical skills and a curious mindset, with the ability to interpret data and insights to drive marketing decisions.
- Experience working across multiple brands at the same time with the ability to tailor approaches.
- Below the line marketing experience.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and creativity.
- Strong experience in target marketing techniques, segmentation strategies, and customer relationship management.
- Confident and engaging stakeholder management skills who is not afraid to share new ideas.
