Job Summary:
With 107 years of experience, Collette Tours offers 170 guided tours across 7 continents, delivering exceptional travel experiences. As we continue to expand in Australia, we are seeking a proactive Marketing Specialist to strengthen our partnerships with travel agents, consortia, and Business Development Managers (BDMs). This role is primarily trade-focused, ensuring that our trade partners have the tools, resources, and support needed to promote and sell Collette’s products effectively while also contributing to consumer marketing initiatives.
The Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing and collaborates closely with Collette’s North American head office marketing team and key internal stakeholders. The role focuses on developing and executing trade marketing campaigns, supporting BDMs, and ensuring all promotional efforts align with Collette’s strategic objectives. A key priority will be working with the team to position Collette as the tour brand of choice for Australian travel agents and travellers. This hybrid role offers a balance of remote work and in-office collaboration.
Primary Functions:
- Campaign Development & Execution: Plan, implement, and monitor trade marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives, ensuring all efforts support the sales of Collette’s products.
- Collaboration with Head Office: Work closely with Collette’s North American marketing team to brief, coordinate, and deliver communications, ensuring global consistency while aligning with regional strategies.
- Promotional Material Management: Create, update, and distribute flyers, brochures, and digital content specifically designed to support BDMs and travel agents.
- Trade Support: Collaborate with BDMs to coordinate marketing activities, share insights, and provide promotional tools for agents and consortia partners.
- Training & Events Coordination: Support the Sales team in organising product training sessions, webinars, and trade events to engage and educate agents on Collette’s offerings.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Support the team in planning, booking, producing, dispatching & monitoring the effectiveness of trade campaigns and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Consumer Marketing Support: Assist with consumer marketing and PR campaigns as required.
Knowledge and Skills:
- 2-3 years of trade marketing experience within the travel industry, with a strong focus on supporting travel agents and consortia.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the Director of Marketing, Head of Sales, the Director of Partnerships, and Collette’s North American marketing team.
- Proven campaign management expertise with a specific emphasis on trade marketing; experience with co-op marketing programs is a plus.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
- Confident and proactive in building relationships with agents and consortia partners.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and a quick learner of new systems.
- Full working rights in Australia (PR or Citizen).
