About This Opportunity
As a Marketing Automation Specialist, you will be an integral part of UQ's in-house Marketing Automation team, reporting directly to the Marketing Automation and Conversion Manager. Your primary focus will be on developing and executing personalised marketing automation campaigns that drive student recruitment.
You will collaborate closely with the CRM team, content developers, and customer analytics experts to ensure UQ’s marketing efforts are both innovative and effective. You’ll also be a key advocate for enhancing the university's CRM and marketing automation capabilities.

Key responsibilities will include:
Develop and manage personalised marketing automation campaigns across various channels, including email, SMS and custom ad audiences.
Create complex audience segments for targeting.
Advise on and execute lead capture strategies.
Liaise with key stakeholders to gather and implement content for campaigns.
Evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and report on key metrics.
Ensure an effective and seamless customer experience across all marketing automation touchpoints.
Maintain and uphold data handling and privacy standards.
This is a full-time, fixed-term position (parental leave cover) until 6 March 2026 years at HEW Level 7.
About You
At least four years' experience in a digital marketing or marketing communication, or similar, role.
Hands-on experience in creating and executing email marketing campaigns; experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is preferred.
It will be advantageous to have experience with at least one scripting language (SQL, HTML, and CSS), however training and upskilling opportunities are available for the right candidate.
Highly organised with a keen eye for detail.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia.
