Tennis Australia is embarking on a phase of Digital Transformation, and as a result, an opportunity has emerged for an experienced and strategic Digital Content Experience Manager to join the Digital Team. The Digital Transformation Program aims to establish new digital experiences, foundational capabilities and strategic enablers. This transformation aims to create ‘the’ online destination for Tennis in Australia, bring the holistic Tennis brand & offer to life, and make it simple, easy and enjoyable for all Tennis audiences to engage with Tennis in the digital environment.

About the role
As an experienced Digital Content Experience Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our digital content strategy. In this role, you will help drive the engagement and growth of Tennis audiences across Australia through our newly redesigned tennis.com.au website.
As the Digital Content Experience Manager, you will be responsible for crafting a comprehensive content strategy for a section of our website that will focus on creating informative, inspiring, and tailored content that speaks to Tennis enthusiasts across the country. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to innovate, optimise, and streamline internal standards for content management, ensuring the content experience is seamless and impactful.
In this role, you will:
- Site Section Leadership & Strategy – You will develop and refine the content strategy for your section, focusing on new programs, services, and audience needs while enhancing user engagement through usability research and SEO insights.
- Stakeholder Management – Collaborate with stakeholders across Tennis Australia to identify audience needs, set objectives, and establish key performance indicators (KPIs), crafting a content roadmap that supports their digital presence.
- Content Creation & Curation – Lead the content creation process by managing briefs, ensuring quality, and applying best practices in tone, style, and SEO. Make data-driven decisions to update or retire content as necessary.
- Information Architecture – Oversee the navigation and site map for optimal user experience, using analytics to make adjustments based on audience engagement.
- CMS & Site Search Management – Manage CMS permissions and workflows, ensuring accurate search results, and collaborate on new template designs to enhance usability.
- Content Development – Create or oversee written content, collaborating with creatives and designers to ensure alignment with Tennis Australia’s voice and SEO standards.

You are an experienced and strategic Digital Content Experience Manager with a strong passion for crafting compelling content that drives engagement and enhances user experience. You have a proven track record in leading content strategies that align with broader digital objectives, particularly in dynamic, user-centred environments.
You excel in collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to define and deliver high-quality, relevant content that resonates with target audiences. Your ability to optimise information architecture and customer journeys ensures that users find what they need quickly and intuitively, enhancing their experience on digital platforms.
Your expertise includes overseeing CMS implementation, managing workflows efficiently, and guiding content evolution based on audience feedback, SEO insights, and strategic goals. You are forward-thinking, continuously adapting content strategies to meet audience needs and staying ahead of digital trends to keep content fresh, relevant, and impactful.
With a keen eye for detail and a passion for digital transformation, you are ready to drive the content experience forward, making a meaningful impact on Tennis Australia's digital presence.
What you will bring to the role:
- 7+ years’ experience in content strategy, content production, SEO optimisation, content governance, community engagement, and complex external stakeholder management for a leading consumer brand.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering increased business outcomes through Digital Content Experiences.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and influence for Digital Content Experience outcomes.
- Demonstrates experience in developing large-scale digital products within the consumer sector.
- Exhibit proficiency in utilizing content management systems (CMS), such as Adobe Experience Manager.
- Display exemplary interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of information architecture and content design.
- Maintains excellent planning and management competencies to oversee multiple content initiatives.
- Comprehensive understanding of user behaviour and principles of user experience design.
- Familiar with best practices that enhance user experience
- Exhibits a strong understanding of SEO principles and adeptness in keyword research.
- Capable of effectively managing site search and content operations.
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check.
