Our Melbourne office has an exciting opportunity for a Geospatial Analyst (GIS) with minimum 2 years’ experience to join our national Digital & Creative Solutions (DCS) team.
About the role
The successful candidate would have opportunities to work on projects across a number of market sectors advising our clients and internal service streams to design, deliver, operate and maintain high quality digital outputs. You will have the opportunity to develop your skills through industry experts and mentorship programs, support diverse and interesting projects as part of a national team, participate in internal and external training sessions, and gain practical, on-the-job training. Due to continued success in securing new packages of work, JBS&G has an opportunity for the right candidate with a passion for spatial data, digital technology and data management with the following key attributes looked at favourably:
- Relevant qualification in Spatial Science, Remote Sensing, Environmental Engineering or Science.
- Minimum 2 years professional GIS experience in the environmental, construction or engineering sectors or recent Graduate from a GIS degree.
- Experience and working knowledge of the ESRI suite of products, including ArcGIS Pro with ArcGIS Online and development/configuration of Collector, Field Maps and Survey 123 would be favourable.
- Good cartographic skills for data presentation in report-based maps and web maps.
- Experience with utilising a range of data (raster and vector) from different sources and formats.
- Strong written and verbal communication with proven problem solving skills.
- Hands on and practical insight in relation to the latest BIM, GIS and/or Digital Engineering processes and tools.
- Good technical knowledge of a range of software platforms, databases and tools. Knowledge of ESdat would be advantageous.
- Interest and/or experience with emerging technologies such as AR/VR, DLT, AI/ML, ACD and Digital Twin.
- A positive attitude and ‘can do’ approach to problem solving that will fit in and positively contribute to the office culture and team.
