Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly organized, independent, and results-oriented Marketing Manager with strong project management skills to lead our marketing efforts. The Marketing Manager will play a key role in continuing the companys growth trajectory by overseeing strategic marketing initiatives and collaborating with internal and external teams. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of marketing projects, manage content creation and design efforts, work with external contractors to coordinate PPC and SEO, and oversee email marketing. Familiarity with marketing technical products and Australian English will be an asset, with a focus on managing projects and achieving results without requiring frequent oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Take ownership of all marketing projects from planning to execution. Coordinate with freelancers, contractors, and internal staff to ensure tasks are completed on time, driving outcomes that align with the companys growth goals. Organize, track, and prioritize multiple marketing initiatives.
- Content & Design Management: Lead the creation and management of marketing content, ensuring high-quality and consistent messaging across all channels. Collaborate with designers to develop visually compelling materials, and step in to contribute to copywriting or design tasks when needed.
- Lead Strategic Marketing Initiatives: Drive strategic marketing efforts with a focus on improving conversion rates (CRO) and increasing lead generation. Ensure all marketing activities align with broader business objectives and contribute to company growth.
- Collaboration with External Contractors: Work closely with external contractors managing Google Ads, Meta Ads, and SEO efforts, ensuring their work aligns with business goals. Facilitate website updates and other tasks related to marketing initiatives, without direct management of campaigns.
- Email Automation & Campaign Management: Take ownership of email marketing campaigns, optimizing automation tools like Ortto (or similar) to ensure effective communication with customers. This will be a key area of involvement, more so than PPC or Google Ads.
- Shopify & Ecommerce Management: Oversee the Shopify store, ensuring product listings are current and that the user experience is optimized. Use analytics tools to track performance and drive continuous improvements.
- Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Utilize data-driven strategies to continuously improve the customer journey and conversion rates across digital channels.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage tools like Google Analytics to assess marketing performance and inform ongoing improvements to campaigns and strategies.
Qualifications:
- Proven project management experience with a track record of managing multiple initiatives independently.
- Strong experience in content creation and collaborating with designers.
- Experience marketing technical products and the ability to understand and communicate their features effectively.
- Experience coordinating external contractors in PPC, SEO, and other digital marketing efforts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to write or edit compelling copy as needed.
- Proficiency with Shopify, CRO, and email automation tools.
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring all marketing materials meet high standards.
- Familiarity with Australian English or experience working with Australian businesses is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive results without frequent oversight.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Notion and documenting standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with Ortto or similar email automation tools.
- Experience in the Australian market to better navigate local nuances in language and customer expectations.
