Make an impact in Deakin’s Infrastructure & Digital division following an exciting period of change within the University. These newly created senior leadership positions will establish and drive priorities across Portfolio Delivery and are focused on enhancing the customer experience through integrating physical and digital infrastructure, projects, and services to deliver seamless, impactful solutions tailored to customer needs.
Program Director, Student Management System
Lead the Student program of work, assessing current and future needs and implementing the appropriate solutions to meet the needs of the University.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Portfolio Delivery, and managing a team of highly skilled professionals, this critical role involves coordinating a comprehensive evaluation of our existing student systems ecosystem, aligning with the University’s strategic architecture and supporting student success.
The role requires exceptional stakeholder engagement and management skills coupled with the ability to influence decision making processes. Collaborating across cross-functional teams, including student services, digital and technical teams as well as business owners and end-users, your leadership will be integral to the success of the Student program.

Program Director, Platforms
Establish and lead the development, delivery and management of critical platform projects and initiatives that underpin both the physical and digital infrastructure to achieve impactful outcomes for Deakin.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Portfolio Delivery, and leading a team dedicated to delivering large-scale, cross functional platform initiatives, the Program Director is responsible for the establishment of the program team, effective program governance, managing key delivery and reporting elements of the projects and the allocation and optimisation of resources to deliver multiple individual projects within tight timeframes and budget constraints.
The ability to negotiate and inspire change across a broad spectrum of issues resulting in large scale impact and long-term implications for the university is critical, as is the ability to facilitate and successfully collaborate with stakeholders to adopt change where there are conflicting interests and opinions. The Program Director will collaborate closely with key stakeholders, working in partnership across the Deakin community with various leaders and teams to deliver shared objectives and collective success.

Program Director, HILC Projects
Establish and lead a portfolio of High Impact, Low Cost (HILC) strategic projects to achieve impactful outcomes for Deakin. HILC projects will enable the University to realise benefits of project delivery quickly, without sacrificing quality or increasing project risk.
Reporting to the Senior Director, Portfolio Delivery, and leading a team dedicated to the effective and efficient implementation of both physical and digital infrastructure projects, the Program Director is responsible for the establishment of the program team, effective program governance, managing key delivery and reporting elements of the projects and the allocation and optimisation of resources to deliver multiple individual projects within tight timeframes and budget constraints.
