Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering & Platforms, the Digital Platform Owner will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of digital technologies and capabilities within the Digital Platform Teams.
You will work closely with enterprise-wide Agile delivery squads to support the delivery of Digital First solutions and build up our future frontend, microservices, DevSecOps, and cloud foundations to scale out for the rest of the organisation.
The Digital Platform Owner will manage the technical environment, oversee the implementation of business and technology solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organisation to deliver business and customer value.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Develop and maintain a platform roadmap, outlining the direction and prioritising features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather insights and feedback, ensuring the solution meets customer and market needs.
- Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for the squad's automation solutions within the organisation.
- Lead, facilitate the design, development, and implementation of Digital platforms and capabilities within the Platform squads.
- Collaborate with Agile delivery Squads to deliver Digital First solutions across Life and General Insurance segments.
- Manage the technical environment for solution development with a hybrid infrastructure background (data centre and AWS).
- Collaborate with other product owners, squads, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and coordination across projects and initiatives.
Important to your success - let's grow together
- Multiple years experience in developing and delivering reusable Digital Foundations capabilities
- Proven experience as a Product/ Platform Owner or similar role
- Strong background in cloud solution and application development
- Experience designing and building decoupled BFF and Domain APIs.
- Experience designing and building decoupled user experience with modern JS frameworks like ReactJS and AngularJS.
- Experience in DevOps and CI/CD tools and techniques
- Experience with Domain Driver Architecture and Domain Oriented Microservices Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g.Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in Agile teams
- Solid Technical Leadership understands career paths in crafts and technical toolkits.
- Certifications or training in AWS, Microsoft or Google platforms. (Desirable)
- Strong experience coaching, mentoring, motivating and managing talent.
